James Hancock

Bio

James Hancock is a football coach currently serving at Demopolis High School in Alabama. He specializes in offensive line development, offensive game planning, and special teams strategy while bringing a player-focused approach centered on fundamentals, accountability, and competitive excellence.

Prior to joining Demopolis, James served as the Offensive Line Coach, JV Co-Offensive Coordinator, and Special Teams Assistant Coach at Pell City High School. During that time, he helped develop an offensive line that contributed to a productive rushing attack. As JV Co-Offensive Coordinator, he collaborated in play calling and game planning for a team that finished 4-2. He also assisted with special teams, helping produce multiple blocked field goals and successful onside kick recoveries.

Before entering the coaching profession, James was a football student-athlete at Lindsey Wilson College from 2019 to 2024. During his collegiate career, he was a member of the 2020 NAIA National Championship team and earned All-Conference honors twice. His playing experience helped develop the leadership, communication, discipline, and problem-solving skills that continue to shape his coaching philosophy today.

James is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field while building disciplined, physical, and fundamentally sound football programs.
